Superb French Antique Large Carved Solid Walnut Wood Panel Door Lion Head 19th. This solid walnut doors is from France and dates to the late 1800's.

The carving is very deep and three dimensional and the head of the lion is very detailed. It was originally door in a large buffet renaissance style. Superb lion head holding a drape between its teeth, above its head two wings and two chimeras.

Very high quality carvings made by the old French knowledge of cabinet-making. It is in good condition, with a beautiful patina, note a small piece of wood is missing on the drape on the left side see last picture. Wood is healthy, strong and straight - It have a working key.
