LG J RAMIREZ Carved Wood Plaque Panel Native American Indian Man/Woman-Bolivia. Each: 17 1/4" x 12 3/4" x 1/2. Pair of large, vintage carved wood plaques/panels. Expertly hand carved bas relief profile of an indigenous man and woman in traditional Bolivian attire.

Small hanger on back of each. Markings: the male plaque is signed J. The female plaque is unsigned but it is clearly the companion plaque and clearly by Ramirez.

Mid 20th century I believe. Small flake to the back top edge of the female plaque. The tips of the tiny nails that secure the hangers protrude slightly from the front of the plaque. These hangers seem to be original to the plaques. 1 of the 2 tiny nails that secure the hanger to the male plaque is absent and will need to be replaced (or both hangers can be replaced entirely).

Consult photos for all of this. None of this is conspicuous. Otherwise both plaques are in excellent original condition with no damages and no significant wear. No restorations or touch ups. No chips, cracks, bruises, dings, dents. No significant rubs or scratches.
