Vintage African or Polynesian Tiki Native Tribal Relief Carved Wood Panel Wall Plaque. Appears to depict a battle or invasion as evidenced by a slain man lying at the bottom.

Measurements: 27 inches long x 15 tall. Condition: Very good with no cracks or splits in wood. Some spotty fading near one edge may need additional stain. This appears to have a good amount of age on it, but it is not dated or signed. The wood it is carved from looks to be a section of tree trunk as it has a natural bow that tilts it slightly forward from the top.

It is even across however, so the piece hangs evenly and looks very nice on the wall. Sourced from an artist's estate collection. This man collected from all around the world extensively in the 1960's - 1980's and he had an affinity for cultural native and ethnic pieces. It is unknown where and when he picked this piece up.
