Antique Victorian Carved Wood Architectural Panel. Amazing details with a Basket full of Flowers; a Hoe and Rake crossed behind it. Reminiscent of a tongue in cheek Coat of Arms. Adorned with Leaves draping the sides. Great Carved details from the veining on the leaves, to the basket weave or the open work basket handle. Hand Carved, Circa 1900's. Has had several layers of paint over the years.

You can see ivory, gold, and red layers in the chipped areas. There is a line across the top of the basket, where the wood was originally joined during creation.

Two dowel holes in the bottom where the piece may have been attached to another. This is nice because you can reuse them for new installations. It has a layer of old dust on it. Please look over the Photos. Pediments are Gables decorated with sculpture or artwork.

Triangular in form and placed on the end of a roof slope or portico. I do not know where this piece originated, however the pediment category seems fitting. Hard Heavy wood, Weighs 7 lb. Measures 28 inches Wide x 15 Inches Tall x 1.5 inches Thick.

Would look amazing on a Victorian picture wall, above a bed, in a greenhouse..
