Antique French Hand Carved Wooden Panel. Courting Scene at a Well. Exquisitely carved and heavy antique French carved wooden panel features a charming scene sculpted in high relief in the. Style depicting a courting scene between a young peasant girl wearing wooden shoes and drawing water from a well and her suitor, a young gentleman wearing a doublet, hose and a feathered hat and seated in front of her underneath an arbor.

On the right hand side is a house with smoke coming out of the chimney. This piece is in very good condition with only some normal traces of aging of the wood, lending a charming, warmly burnished antique patina.
