ANTIQUE CHINESE WOODEN OFFERING ALTAR. The main body of the Altar was hand chiseled and carved from one solid piece of wood. You can see the chisel marks inside the altar (see images).

Hand Carved 3 Dimensional Panels. Highly Decorated with Floral Designs. And Rich Gold accents are set into the front, back and sides of this carved wood Altar.

This makes this piece really stand out as the exquisite Antique that it is. The top of the altar is separated into 6 sections.

The superb craftsmanship is evidenced in the carving of this Authentic Antique Buddhist Offering Altar. This is a Unique Item and the Older Circa 1700 and 1800's Carved Home Altars are becoming very difficult to locate.

You may not have the opportunity to acquire something like this again. Are in Good Condition for such an old piece that experienced every day use for close to 2 centuries. It appears that a small repair was performed on the back leg many, many years ago, but really does not effect the appearance of this beautiful offering altar (see photos).
