Antique 1800's hand carved wood Japanese figural wall relief panel sculpture

  
Up for sale is a nice quality antique 19th century hand carved Japanese wooden relief wall panel. It's completely carved by hand with elaborate open worked detailing and has a lovely. The detailed scene is gilded in gold and has acquired a lovely patina from age. It's carved out of a thick piece of wood and depicts a lotus filled vase with a stylized bat underneath. The panel is in nice antique condition and measures 10 3/4 inches long by 12 inches wide.

It is a sculpture fragment that has normal ware and a loss to the upper right. Thank you for visiting "Dusty Treasures " and please feel free to browse through.
