22 Tall French Antique Deep Carved Panel With Baccus/Devil Face in Walnut Wood
Description of item for sale. This hand carved antique panel is from France and it dates to the mid/late 1800's.
It is solid walnut finished very dark. The carving with a central face of either Bacchus or a demon/devil take your pick! Is all hand done and very interesting. This panel was originally part of a center door in a large French buffet.
It is in very good antique condition with only minor nicks and scratches. Note the unfinished edges where it was originally mounted in a frame. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished it with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come. Dimensions : 22" tall, 17" wide, 2 thick.
