Up for your consideration, are two incredibly carved what I believe to be mahogany panels. As you can see by my photographs they are intricately carved. These 19th century late Victorian panels I believe came out of a piece of furniture, or a pannel door.. They still have the original patina and are approximately 16.75" x 12.25" approximately a little over 3 inches wide at its widest.
They are in incredibly good condition they do have some slight damage to the Eagles head and beeks and there is a little split on the one nude childs knee, One toe is half missing, there are four small nail holes on each coners where someone nailed them to the wall at one time. Other than these few little problems the plaques are in excellent condition.. There is an eagle on top of the child's head which he is sitting on a scalloped shaped shell, and underneath that is an East lake style head. With flowers and scrolls throughout. This is all hand carved and it took someone with a lot of skill to achieve this carving. Please look at my photos.
