@1875 Antique Architectural Victorian Panel Walnut Wood Carving Pediment Top
SPECTACULAR ANTIQUE WALNUT CARVED PEDIMENT. PERFECT AS A WALL DECORATION. I restored this beautiful piece, it was a mirror topper which was on a dresser. The dresser was Eastlake Victorian Renaissance Revival. Made of gorgeous solid American Black Walnut with some burled black walnut veneers. I restored the failed finish using a hand rubbed laquer to showcase the grains, beauty & preserve the patina! There are 3 dowels & a small inlay of walnut on the bottom edge where mirror frame sides were originally attached. MOUNTINGthere are 2 brass mounting brackets on the back which are 16 inches on center. You will need to install screws into your wall securely that will hold the brass bracket hole, an easy task for any handyman! I love the convex round burled walnut covered disc & the beautiful egg shaped finial, this is truly a statement piece that will get all rave reviews. There are some pieces of missing veneer on the flower carvings at both bottom corners, character & beauty marks that I left as historic beauty! This is ready to install & admire for generations to come! A true one of a kind piece!!
