French Antique Large Architectural Deep Hand Carved Walnut Wood Door Panel Butterfly. A very beautiful large antique French wall panel made of hand carved walnut wood, dating to the 19th century. The scene depicts a woman's head with an Art Nouveau decor.

Everything is carved in the mass of the wood with bunches of fruit, branches of flowers, ears of wheat and the head is surmounted by a butterfly. It is a magnificent achievement that we rarely meet. The whole is very finely carved, the face of the character is very fine.

The carving is very detailed and deep. It is a high quality door made by the old French knowledge of cabinet-making. Good antique condition with some normal signs of ages.
