Fabulous antique Victorian era Black Forest style 24" x 12" cabinet door or furniture panel, hand carved in solid old European oak with "Fruits of the Hunt" themed game bird figures, rifle, powder horn & satchel and oak leaves & acorns! Salvaged from an old piece of furniture for sure, these marvelous old carved panels are great as additions to your custom furniture or cabinetry project but also make superb wall hanging decorative accents just as they are! We've seen them framed & displayed or hung just as you see it so that's really up to you.

A single panel here measuring 24.25" x 12 1/8" in total, you can see the area around the edge where the panel would have slid into its surrounding door or cabinet framing. The figures are just as you would expect from a superb old Black Forest hunt themed wall plaque pair. Great detail and wonderful figures!

Two game birds hung as if fresh from the hunt, carved as if behind are a rifle & satchel, small powder horn at the bottom and a single branch at the top with two oak leaves and two acorns. Heavy, solid old growth European oak with a fabulous patina or finish, very attractive. Very good to excellent condition. A chip to the upper right corner and there is a vertical line visible on the left side where one of the oak boards is attached (these panels formed by gluing several oak boards to achieve the desired width). We try to show everything in our photos, they're large and clear so look and enjoy.
