This beautiful hand carving of a deer is in fantastic condition and is I have been told a Black Forest piece and dating from around the 1890s. The details are exquisite and has been done to a very high standard, as you can see by the photo it bends slightly and there may be marks etc consistent with the age and use of the item, but this just adds charm to the character of the piece.
