35.8 Antique French Large Carved Wood Architectural Door Panel Gothic Lion Walnut. This magnificient solid walnut door is from France and date to the late 1800's.

This is an antique French hand carved wood door. This door were originally on a stunning French Henry II style buffet or dresser. It depict a wonderful decor of a lion's head in the middle of an escutcheon.

The lion holds a ring in its mouth on which are suspended fruits, all ending in crossed ribbons. The decor is finely hand carved. It is a high quality door made by the old French knowledge of cabinet-making.

It is in good condition, with a beautiful patina. Wood is healthy, strong and straight - It have a working key. Wide : 19.29 in (49 cm) height: 35.83 in. The lion head measures (19 x 14 cm) 7.48" x 5.51".
